Location:

Compartment 8, Gunung Machinchang Forest Reserve.

20 km from Kuah, Langkawi.

Accessible by road.

It’s situated near Kok Beach and Burau Bay which has several resorts.

Lowland Dipterocarp Forest.

Elevation : 150 - 200 m a.s.l.

Special Features:

The Perangin River which flows from the peak of Gunung Machinchang has a seven-tier waterfall.

These waterfalls form several natural pools known as the famous Telaga Tujuh

Every level of the waterfalls has its own natural attraction and jungle tracks that are suitable for adventurous activities.

There are over 600 steps to reach the main attraction known as ‘Telaga Pertama’ where you can have a picnic, swimming and appreciate the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding area such as the beautiful sea and scenic mountain

The track along the riverbank to the peak of Gunung Machinchang has the oldest rock formation and structure in Langkawi.

A wide variety of flora and fauna of lowland dipterocarp forest such as rengas, merpauh periang, melunak, meranti temak and meranti jerit could be found here.
